Are pressure washer pumps interchangeable? Many are, but compatible replacement options depend on your pressure washer's engine shaft diameter, engine orientation, the original pump's bolt pattern, and your engine's horsepower.

If my shaft has a spline/gear instead of a keyway, what pump do I need? Your original pump was likely a strap-style (or bow tie) pump, which are no longer made. However, you can remove the spline and use your model number to find a replacement pump that installs directly onto the shaft with a keyway.

Do I need a keyway for installation, and do your pumps come with one? Our pumps require a keyway for installation onto the engine shaft. If a keyway is pictured in the listing, it will come with one. If you need to purchase one separately, you can do so from our catalog.

Do I need to change the oil in my pump? Many of our pumps don't require oil maintenance, but some models do need regular oil changes. Generally, pumps with an oil vent port will need oil changes. Pumps without that port are sealed units and don't need oil changes.
