The Pump Thermal Relief Valve mitm-22-0005 is a Washer Thermal Relief Valve with a 1/2" Male Inlet that protects the pump from damaging heat build-up while it is in bypass mode. When the thermal relief valve senses a rise in temperature, it opens and discharges a small amount of heated fluid, allowing cooler water to enter the system and cool the pump. Upon the discharge of the gun, the cooler water will immediately cause the valve to close.

Regarding the specifications, the valve features a compact design with a shorter overall length. The trip temperature is set to 145º F, and the body is made of brass. The inlet thread size is 1/2" MPT, while the hose barb is 1/4". The valve mounts easily in the pump manifold, inlet water supply, or bypass loop plumbing, and it weighs 1.5 oz.

This thermal relief valve is compatible with various pressure washer pumps, including those made by AR North America, General Pump, Cat Pump, Hotsy, Karcher, Landa, Comet, and more, as long as a 1/2" inlet port is available.
